Christmas With The Kids

If you don't have children then you don't have any idea just how exciting Christmas Day can be. The look on their faces when they saw the presents under the tree was utopia.

I put one of the gifts outside on the porch and told my oldest boy that Santa's bag must have ripped open and a present fell out. He believed it. That's all that matters. I got a feeling this is going to become a Christmas tradition around the BC house every year.

I did it last year and this year he comes up to me and says, "We have to look on the porch this year to see if Santa's bag bust open."

They got way too much stuff. Grandma gave them each a toy cell phone. I told Austin when he's old enough to get a job he can get his own cell phone and he can pay fot it. I figure that's fair.

I didn't understand what Christmas was all about until I had children. Now it's all so simple.

And, by the way, our favorite holiday movie to watch together is "Polar Express." A great movie for the entire family. We've watched it about 10 times already.

Internet Business

I'm looking for an internet business that I can do at home. Any ideas? I've had several pieces of mail sent to me advertising internet businesses, but nothing really jumped out and grabbed me. With the way American business is going these days, it's good to have a business on the side and that's what I'm looking for. Something to make money while I sit on my butt in front of the computer.

Please send your ideas and comments to bc@worldwidebc.com and thank you very much in advance.

Shopping for Christmas

I did Christmas chopping for my two boys today. I bought them computers. The ad read for ages 3 and up and my youngest is almost three and my oldest is six. And already they have computers. When I was six I got a Davy Crockett coon skin cap and jacket.

Isn’t it amazing how times change? The cap and jacket was made in America, too. You won’t see that today. No, today the cap and jacket is made in a third world country by an underage child.

The computers I got my two boys were made in China because I couldn’t find a computer that is made in America. That’s pathetic, isn’t it? TV’s aren’t made in America anymore, Computers; all appliances are made overseas now. It just isn’t right. What the hell is our government thinking? Do they care at all about the people who voted for them? Apparently not.

I really hate to see what this country will be like when my children grow up. I know what the language will be, Spanish and Chinese.

A Christmas Carol

I just finished the play 'A Christmas Carol' for the Little Theater. We did three performances and all went well. Great Crowds. I played Bob Cratchett, Scrooges bookkeeper. It was the first time I'd ever done anything like that, but I'm always up for a challenge.

I didn't think I could do it, but you never know what you can do until you step outside your comfort zone and give it a try. I never thought I could ever be a stand up comic, but not only did I accomplish it, I became one of the top 100 club comic in the late 80's and early 90's.

Challenge yourself to do things you never thought you could do. You may be surprised at the outcome. I never thought I could be a dad, but I did and I even wrote a book about it called 'Daddyhood'.

My son came to see me perform on Saturday night. I know he was in the audience because when I walked on stage I heard him say, "That's my daddy." I love the sound of that.
